Nicole Arsenault, RDH, DDS
My name is Nicole Arsenault. Recently my husband, Dan, and I have acquired Dr. Resnick’s
practice and joined him and his amazing team. I am a dental hygienist and dentist. In 2005 I
graduated dental hygiene school and in 2011 dental school, both from the University of Michigan
School of Dentistry.
I enjoyed 2 year practicing dental hygiene in my hometown of Sault Ste. Marie Michigan before I went back to U of M to attend dental school. Upon graduation from dental school I did a 1 year internship with Dental Clinics North and Michigan Community Dental Clinics focusing on oral surgery, pediatric dentistry, and general restorative dentistry. After my internship I was hired full time as a staff dentist for Dental Clinics North in Alpena, MI where I worked as a staff dentist providing care for the underserved population for 9 years. I loved providing care for these people, but I felt I needed to expand the scope of my dental practice.
During the winter of 2022 I began communicating with Dr. Resnick about joining him and his
practice. The more we communicated, the more it seemed we were a great match to join
together and practice dentistry. June 2022 I came aboard to join Dr. Resnick and his team and
it has been so much fun! I am enjoying a much broader freedom to practice dentistry in a
greater scope that I feel can help people in a more substantial way. I strive to improve my
patients' quality of life by the services I provide for them.
Now that I have more freedom in the scope of my practice I hope to give back by helping provide Northern Michigan with frenectomy releases (because of tongue and lip ties). I have two sons that both struggled early in life because of issues with tongue/lip ties. I currently triage children and educate parents about issues that can occur with tongue and lip ties and create awareness about the importance of the airway in developing children. I plan to expand my education and make connections with IBCLCs (International Board Certified Lactation Consult) to perform frenectomies with a laser to help moms and babies with breastfeeding or any other issues they are having associated with ties.
I have three young children, Rachel (born 2016), Luke (born 2018), and Walter (born 2020)
and a wonderful husband, Dan, who has been very helpful and instrumental with planning and
behind the scenes work in the practice. I love spending time with my family, really doing
anything, but we love being active, doing anything outdoors, walking, hiking, biking, campfires,
and boating in the summer. We also love sledding and skiing outdoors in the winter and movies
and reading by the fire indoors in the winter.
